Angel.com promoted Sam Aparicio, previously vice president of products and strategy, to chief technology officer. Ashish Soni has been promoted to vice president of technology and pperations; he was previously director of operations.

Aparicio began his Angel.com career eight years ago as one of the company’s first software engineers. Under his product leadership, Angel.com has grown its user base to more than 1,600 businesses and its revenue by more than 200 percent on a yearly basis. Prior to Angel.com, he was a developer at investment bank Barclays Capital in London.
 
Soni joined the company at its inception in 1999. He was instrumental in the initial development, testing, and deployment of the Angel.com product and technology infrastructure. Prior to joining Angel.com, he oversaw quality assurance for the Microstrategy 7 Intelligence Server, Engine, and COM APIs.
