NEW YORK - Apptec Voice Solutions has selected Brooktrout Technology's speech platform for its next generation of digital dictation and transcription services.  The service uses the media processing capabilities of Brooktrout's speech platform to take dictation from call-in users using any telephone or Apptec's microphone stations. It then enables call-in transcribers to access this dictation and control playback using Apptec's telephone-based transcribe stations. 

Apptec Voice Solutions Digital Dictation System (DDS) combines telephony, network, and Web interfaces in a platform server.  DDS provides voice file storage, retrieval and archiving, workflow management and reporting, file import and export via network and Web, and telephony-based user interfaces. Every user has a profile which allows the system to respond to unique requirements.

Brooktrout's speech platform connects DDS servers to the telephone network and processes all voice and touchtone responses for use by the application. 

The Brooktrout speech products are speech processing platforms designed to support an array of speech, IVR, messaging, and conferencing applications.
