Cantata Technology appointed Timothy Murray as its CEO. Marc Zionts, the former CEO, will remain with the company in an advisory capacity, serving as vice chairman.

Murray spent more than 20 years in senior executive positions at AT&T.  During his career at AT&T, Murray served as: executive vice president, business service operations; president, business network services; and, vice president, middle market business unit. Prior to joining Cantata Technology, Murray held the positions of president, CEO, and chief operating officer of Cross Match Services, a provider of biometric identification services. Murray has also served as CEO of Riversoft, a network management software company.

Murray holds master's and bachelor's degrees in management and industrial engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and has also completed executive education studies at Harvard University and the Dartmouth Institute.
