Cognitive Code, a technology company specializing in practical conversational artificial intelligence, has been placed on Northrop Grumman's Approved Vendor list.

Northrop Grumman has also licensed Cognitive Code's SILVIA Platform and tools, which enable people to communicate with computers and mobile devices using natural language. SILVIA-enabled applications understand and act on that communication based on the software's unique ability to understand meaning and context. The SILVIA platform runs on just about any modern operating system, and the hardware- and language-independent SILVIA Core run-time can be deployed for a broad range of applications, including call centers, mobile, talking toys, medical applications, games, social networking, Web-server applications, and more.

“We are excited to be working with Northrop Grumman, and we are very pleased that they have selected our technology as a component for their applications," said Leslie Spring, founder and chief technology officer of Cognitive Code. "It is our hope that SILVIA's unique ability to manage tasks and to interact conversationally can be used for defense applications that will ultimately save lives, both here in the United States and abroad.”
