Convergys Corp. is making its speech solutions available to the on-premises market through an alliance with Cisco Systems.

This alliance better enables Convergys to expand from its position as a hosted speech solutions provider to offer speech solutions to the on-premises market. By working with Cisco and its partners, Convergys Speech Self-Service applications can be hosted on any platform, including the Cisco Unified Customer Voice Portal platform.

"This alliance with Cisco will help us make available to the on-premises speech market our contact center consulting and award-winning speech self-service solutions ,which have made us a leading provider to the hosted speech market for a number of years already," said Larry Schwartz, president of Convergys' Communications and Technology Business Unit.
