Convergys this week named Igor Sarenac as its vice president of business development in Canada.

This year, Convergys will be placing special emphasis on attracting and expanding business among companies in Canada.  Sarenac's mission will be sales across all Convergys business units with initial focus on communications providers and financial services institutions.

Sarenac will also continue to lead North American sales efforts across the cable and technology vertical markets from offices in Toronto.  He will report to Jim Boyce, president of Convergys' Communication, Technology, Media, Entertainment, and Canada groups.  Sarenac previously served as vice president of sales in that same organization and has been with Convergys for three years.

Before joining Convergys, he was senior director of sales for Amdocs for five years. He also served as country national manager of sales for Objective Systems Integrators and held similar roles with Ericsson, Architel, and Nortel Networks.
