Ditech Networks has added French transcription support to its PhoneTag voice-to-text service. Ditech’s PhoneTag service allows for multiple voice-to-text applications, including voicemail, voice SMS, and conference call transcription.

French now joins U.S. English, Spanish, and U.K. English as PhoneTag supported languages. The addition of French brings PhoneTag’s language coverage to approximately 1 billion people in more than 80 countries. French language service is available now and currently has both paying and trial customers. It is available to service providers through Ditech’s global sales professionals as well as select value-added resellers, and it will soon be available via www.phonetag.com/api for third-party developers.

“We are expanding our PhoneTag service based on market input and demand,” said Mahesh Godavarti, director of speech algorithms at Ditech Networks. “French is an important addition to our service, and the rapidity of the addition of French is indicative of our ability to add languages quickly and efficiently.”
