Loquendo this week released Sven, the new male Swedish voice, for its text-to-speech offerings, and announced plans to launch voices in Finnish, Danish, and Russian later this year.

Like all Loquendo voices, Sven is available for telephony, multimedia, and embedded devices. He joins Annika, Loquendo's recently upgraded female Swedish voice.

All Loquendo technologies come with the same wide range of expressive voices and languages, all with the same core engine. Loquendo TTS comes with an interface that offers a variety of tools and features, for example: Voice Creator allows users to adjust voice pitch, speaking rate, and volume with just a few clicks of the mouse; the Audio Mixer permits users to mix and synchronize voice prompts with music and sound effects; and Lexicon Editor is a tool for inserting phonetic transcriptions.

Loquendo TTS is currently available in U.S. and U.K. English, Swedish, German, Dutch, French, Canadian French, American Spanish, Mexican, Chilean and Argentinian Spanish, Castilian, Catalan, Valencian, Galician, Brazilian, Portuguese, Italian, Esperanto, Greek, Mandarin Chinese, Turkish and Polish in both male and female voices.
