Nuance Communications is making its Nuance Voice Control mobile search and messaging service available to millions of Rogers Wireless subscribers across Canada using select BlackBerry devices and other smartphones or handsets.

Nuance Voice Control is available to Rogers' customers for a monthly subscription fee of $6 (CAN). To quickly download the Nuance application, Rogers' subscribers can simply click on the "DoMore" Icon of their supported device, including the BlackBerry 7130e, 8703e, 8100 and 8800. With the press of a single button on a mobile phone, the Nuance Voice Control service lets people simply say a command instead of fumbling with tiny keypads or navigating complex menus to perform simple tasks.

The service allows users to perform a number of tasks using their voices. Examples include conducting Web and directory assistance searches, initiating voice-dialed phone calls, sending and receiving emails, accessing weather, sports, and news stories, searching the Web, and accessing Web sites.
