TomTom has selected VoiceBox Technologies to supply its Conversational Voice technology for the new GO and VIA Series navigation devices.

VoiceBox partnered with SVOX  to deliver an address-entry experience that uses SVOX’s speech recognition engine. Now, TomTom device users can speak naturally; instead of speaking an address one step at a time, they can simply say, Take me to 1313 Mockingbird Lane, Seattle.

“We’re proud to have worked with TomTom to have our Conversational Voice technology power its new safety-enhancing intuitive voice recognition feature,” said Mike Kennewick, VoiceBox Technologies’ CEO.
“We are excited to leverage VoiceBox’s unique technology in our newest product lines as we continue to create a world-class navigation experience for our drivers,” added Tim Roper, president of TomTom.
