AT&T 1-800-YellowPages Service Selects Apptera's MobileAd Technology

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Apptera's MobileAd Technology will be the engine powering AT&T's controlled trial of its ad-sponsored directory assistance service in Bakersfield, Calif.; Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Columbus, Ohio.  Partnering with VoltDelta, a wholly owned subsidiary of Volt Information Sciences, Inc. (NYSE: VOL), Apptera will serve targeted ads to callers when they dial 1-800-YellowPages (1-800-935-5697). AT&T (NYSE: T) has already trialing the new service

"Apptera's innovative technology will allow AT&T to offer a high-level of capabilities to advertisers," stated David Huntley, senior vice president-Diversified Businesses, AT&T.  "Upon full launch, this will enable us to efficiently reach millions of consumers searching for products and services over AT&T 1-800-YellowPages.  In addition to their technology, Apptera has been instrumental in helping us design a world-class business solution, which will enable AT&T to deliver a state-of-the-art, ad-sponsored directory assistance service to our customers."

MobileAds are served at the time a caller is searching for a product or service. Apptera's MobileAd Technology will be used to record and provision voice ads.  Advertisers can define the category on which they want to trigger their ad.  Merchants can also trigger ads based on the time-of-day, day-of-week, call-from locality, call-to locality, and throttle.
