AssistiveWare Selects Acapela to Voice Enable Proloquo

AssistiveWare, the world leader in assistive technology software for Mac OS X , has chosen Acapela Group to promote its new software, Proloquo.

Proloquo is a multi-purpose and multilingual speech solution for Mac OS X, which provides: a communication system (AAC) for people who cannot speak, an improvement of accessibility to Mac OS X for people with visual impairments, speech feedback in any application while typing, talking word processor, the conversion of text to speech, a tool to learn the pronunciation of foreign languages and finally, a multilingual speech engine for KeyStrokes on-screen keyboard and SwitchXS Assistiveware's switch access solution.

AssistiveWare has chosen the Acapela voices in 13 different languages; American English, British English, German, Dutch, Flemish, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Swedish, Norwegian, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese. Proloquo includes one language of choice; however, Acapela voices for additional languages are available as a language pack.
