AudioEye Partners with CivicPlus to Make Government Websites Accessible

AudioEye has partnered with CivicPlus, providers of an integrated technology platform for local governments, to help make government web sites accessible to those with disabilities.

Through this partnership CivicPlus website design teams will have full access to AudioEye's solutions, which include automated testing, remediation, and compliance monitoring technologies. The AudioEye technology platform monitors sites as they grow, automatically fixing issues to ensure accessibility to individuals using assistive technologies. In addition, the Ally Toolbar, a proprietary assistive tool, will be placed directly on sites, allowing users to customize their experiences, with, among other things, voice capabilities that can read aloud site content and respond to voice commands to navigate.

"We are two companies committed to accessibility, inclusivity, and enhancing the user experience for the widest audience possible," said Todd Bankofier, AudioEye's CEO, in a statement "We also share an understanding of and appreciation for the importance of achieving accessibility efficiently and leveraging technology to do so."

"Digital accessibility is a key initiative for CivicPlus on so many levels. It is important not only for the sake of compliance with regulations, but more importantly, to ensure all citizens have equal access to the information made available to them from their local governments," said Sascha Ohler, CivicPlus's vice president of research and development, in a statement.
