Audiopoint Launches Enhanced Voice Terminal 2.0

FAIRFAX, VA - Audiopoint, a speech applications technology company developing and hosting large scale commercial voice applications, announced the launch of its enhanced e-mail reader, Voice Terminal Service 2.0 (VTS) for consumer & business users. The service is intended for business users that don't currently have voice access to e-mail through their ISP or corporate e-mail account. VTS is available immediately and is offered with a 30-day trial. Additional features are planned for the first quarter of 2003. Voice Terminal is a voice-enabled e-mail service that allows consumer and business users to retrieve and manage e-mail accounts anytime, anywhere, from any phone. VTS 2.0 advanced features include the ability to listen to e-mail directly from an existing e-mail account inbox, delete and skip messages with voice commands, compose and reply to e-mail, filter by name and date to sort e-mail, access to your personal address book and phone notifications that allow the user to set preferences to receive a phone call notifying when a specific e-mail has been received. Touch-tone fallback is also embedded if the user is unable to use the voice recognition system due to excessive background noise. "These new features are a direct result of a polling of our customer base and finding out what they would like the Voice Terminal 2.0 service do for them and how the service could be more productive for them," said Brian Lichorowic, CEO & President of Audiopoint. "Our compose feature is unique within the industry and will allow an individual to initiate an e-mail from their phone rather than just reply. This is a great feature for the business user on the move." VTS was developed specifically for mobile users as a complementary technology to provide an alternative way for wired and wireless users to stay connected and access critical information on demand. VTS supports those who don't have immediate access to an Internet connection.
