Audium Teams with IBM to Integrate Voice Products and Enhance Compatibility

NEW YORK - Audium announced that it has signed a teaming agreement with IBM to integrate IBM WebSphere Voice products with Audium's own product line and further certify compatibility on IBM hardware and software using open standards.

Audium is basing its voice development IDE - Audium Studio - on the Eclipse product from the Eclipse Foundation, which was formed after IBM released the Eclipse Platform into Open Source.  Audium and IBM have agreed to make their voice products interoperate on the Eclipse Platform and with IBM's WebSphere Voice offerings.  In addition to IBM, Audium has signed a number of partners to develop additional products for Studio.

Audium also announced that it has completed certification of its Audium Server, Audium Call Services, and Audium OpenSDK products on IBM WebSphere 5 with IBM's AIX operating system.  Effective immediately, customers and solutions developers can deliver open voice solutions based on a range of IBM solutions from IBM's eServer, xSeries and pSeries hardware platforms to IBM's middleware and WebSphere products.  Customers also have access to AIX in addition to Linux offerings from IBM.

IBM and Audium will promote the offerings globally.
