Challinors Selects SRC WinScribe Dictation System

U.K.-based law firm Challinors will be supplied with a digital dictation solution based upon WinScribe technology by SRC, a provider of digital dictation and speech recognition solutions.

The SRC WinScribe solution will now provide Challinors with a document workflow, and the ability to use people through the system providing visibility of the complete document creation process from dictation to transcription.

Speaking about the decision to deploy a SRC digital dictation system, Challinors IT manager, Richard Drew commented: "We knew moving from tape to a digital dictation system was essential, simply because it would save us valuable time. Fee earners could spend 30 minutes looking for blank tapes before even starting urgent dictations. After extensive evaluation we considered that SRC were the most appropriate partner for this project because they could provide the right level of support and training."

"The SRC WinScribe solution not only brings us up to date and into the digital age but will also enable fee earners to dictate using a mobile telephone via a free phone number," Drew continued. "The WinScribe solution includes innovative features that will deliver efficiencies for our users such as the ability for fee earners to attach documents and files to dictations."

Talking about future plans for the system Drew added: "Implementing the solution based upon the WinScribe technology opens up exciting new opportunities for Challinors. Digital dictation is just the starting point and we intend to make use of the WinScribe integrated speech recognition capabilities in the future."
