Chant Keeps the World Talking with Technology with Latest Toolset

Chant last week announced  availability of new toolset for developing software that speaks and listens.

Chant Developer Workbench is comprised of tools and components that provide a development and testing environment for working with the component libraries and the speech technology objects they manage. Developers can manage grammars, profiles, lexicons, recognizers, synthesizers, and text-to-speech markup interactively and directly within application software they develop and deploy.

"Developers no longer have to write custom software to test their applications," said John Earle, president and founder of Chant. "With Developer Workbench, the tools provide an effective way to create, edit, and test grammars, lexicons, profiles, recognizers, synthesizers, and text markup necessary to improve speech recognition accuracy and enhance the playback quality of speech synthesis. This should accelerate the development cycle and enhance the quality of software that speaks and listens," emphasizes Earle, "which is critical to broadening the adoption of voice-enabled solutions."

Chant Developer Workbench 2007 is available for $899 per user and includes the Chant Developer Workbench interactive environment, a license for GrammarKit 2, LexiconKit 2, ProfileKit 2, SpeechKit 5, and VoiceMarkupKit 2 Win32 Developer Editions (component libraries), and release updates for one year.
