Clarion Corporation of America has launched its NX604 Double DIN cloud-connected in-dash multimedia and navigation system featuring Intelligent VOICE natural voice recognition technology with Google Voice Search and the Google Places API, which allows for naturally spoken sentences to be recognized without the need to remember and use unintuitive voice commands.

With Intelligent VOICE, users can simply say conversational sentences such as "I'm in the mood for waffles" and the NX604 will understand and recommend a selection of restaurants serving waffles.

Gharapetian, vice president of marketing and product planning at Clarion, in a statement. "When developing the NX604, Clarion spent countless hours researching and fine-tuning the system's user interface based on consumer expectations of what it takes to extend their mobile lifestyle into their vehicle. That's principally why our new NX604 is so intuitive and easy to operate even when it comes to all its advanced navigation and multimedia features."

In addition to offering advanced features such as Clarion's Smart Access and Intelligent VOICE, the NX604 packs a built-in DVD/CD player, a 6.2" WVGA touch screen, full USB connectivity, HD radio, Bluetooth, and is satellite radio ready. It also features a six-channel RCA audio outputs and rear zone entertainment allowing passengers to watch DVDs on the rear seat monitors while the driver can access apps and information in front. Additionally, the re-route feature lets you avoid traffic jams by choosing other roads.

For those who rely on built-in navigation, the NX604's superior GUI and Voice guidance system adds the iGo Primo navigation software built-in for extremely reliable navigation with more than 11 million points of interest.
