Dimension Data Italia Integrates Aculab's Prosody Product Line with Envox 5

BOSTON, MA - Dimension Data Italia, a system integrator and provider of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Computer-Telephony Integration (CTI) solutions, announced that it is now developing interactive voice response (IVR) and contact center solutions with Envox 5, the open, standards-based development platform from Envox Worldwide. In order to provide their customers with a total solution, Dimension Data Italia has also integrated Aculab's Prosody DSP resource product line with the Envox 5 platform. "We see a tremendous market opportunity for our Envox/Aculab solution," said Attilio Licciardello, business manager for the Customer Interactive Solutions product line for Dimension Data Italia. "By delivering our IVR and contact center solutions on this integrated platform, Dimension Data Italia can now serve a wider range of enterprise customers and service providers." After extensive review of available platforms, Dimension Data Italia selected Envox 5 because of its graphical programming environment, an embedded VoiceXML browser, numerous integrations for leading speech products and management tools for easily configuring, monitoring and managing large-scale deployments. Envox 5 is a multi-modal platform that combines call control functions with built-in web, e-mail, fax and data communications capabilities. Dimension Data Italia is a long-standing Aculab partner. Although the Envox 5 platform does not support the Aculab products natively, Dimension Data Italia wanted to offer their customers Prosody-based solutions. As a result, Dimension Data Italia used the Envox hardware API to fully integrate Envox 5 with the full line of Prosody products, including resources for line-side T1 and E1 communications and SS7 implementations.
