Ditech Networks Brings Voice Quality Algorithms (VQA) to FreeSWITCH

Ditech Networks has ported its voice quality assurance (VQA) algorithms to run within FreeSWITCH, an open-source voice telephony platform used, for example, as a PBX or conferencing server.

Like many VoIP elements, FreeSWITCH implementations may be subject to quality issues arising from handsets, noisy environments, and calls coming from other networks including both mobile and landline networks. Ditech Networks VQA algorithms can help to mitigate these issues and provide consistent and high quality voice streams.

“We see the move to software-based telephony accelerating, and believe that VQA can be an important component of the quality and success of these initiatives,” said Karl Brown, vice president of marketing at Ditech Networks. “The FreeSWITCH community is dynamic, and we expect to see more and more FreeSWITCH implementations in the future.”

FreeSWITCH administrators can register and log in to vqa.ditechnetworks.com to download the plug-in.
