Global IP Sound Announces Embedded VoiceEngine

SAN FRANCISCO - Global IP Sound (GIPS) has extended its VoiceEngine(TM) family of products with the Embedded VoiceEngine(TM), a software plug-in designed to handle voice-related tasks for Voice over IP (VoIP). The new platform gives customers a speech processing solution to help them bring IP phones that leverage MIPS, Xscale/ARM and other CPU technologies to market.

Embedded VoiceEngine allows customers to leverage the technology and components of Voice Engine within an integrated and flexible framework. The new platform also provides an API. It allows manufacturers to deploy IP phone products without purchasing individual components or creating a proprietary software framework to deliver their solution.
