HR Alloy Adds Video to its Advanced Online Job Simulations

HR Alloy, a provider of assessment delivery services for talent management, released Virtual Simulation Authoring Plus (VSA+), an enhanced version of its simulation authoring tool. The new product gives users the ability to integrate voice and video content into realistic job simulations.

This enhancement builds on the current release of Virtual Simulation Authoring (VSA), HR Alloy's system for creating and managing online virtual job simulations for use in talent management assessment, and development. Introduced in 2006, the first generation of VSA technology made it possible to build job simulations with scoring capabilities.

The system already uses video-game techniques to render 3-D environments and character avatars, and employs text-to-speech (TTS) software to deliver content in multiple languages.

The result is a video-enabled version of the system, named VSA+. The new release makes it possible to incorporate custom video and audio content into the job simulations, providing additional authenticity. Video can come from any source, and make up some or all of each simulation, to meet customer needs and preferences.
