HomeSeer Technologies Releases New HS2 v2.1 Software

BEDFORD, N.H. - HomeSeer Technologies released HomeSeer Home Automation Software. HomeSeer HS2 v2.1 is written in Microsoft's .NET 2.0 framework. It offers remote Internet-based voice recognition, text-to-speech and audio capabilities. HomeSeer HS2 is designed to integrate and control lighting, appliances, security, HVAC, home theater and other home systems.

HomeSeer HS2 can be installed by any homeowner and then controlled using voice, telephone, touchscreens, wall controllers, handheld remotes and PocketPCs or PDAs. As with version v2.0, v2.1 also supports ASP.NET, which allows users to create their own control interfaces. The Web interface also supports screen readers.

HomeSeer HS2 supports automation technologies and companies such as Z-Wave, INSTEON, UPB, Lutron (HomeWorks and RadioRA), Leviton, Intermatic, HAI, DSC and more. Additional support for distributed audio systems from Russound and hardwired lighting systems from Centralite and Vantage is planned for later this year.
