IMS Releases T IMS CharacterGenerator StudioTM MX Product for Macromedia Director MX and MX 2004

Interactive Multimedia Solutions announced the availability of version 2.1 the IMS CharacterGenerator StudioTM MX animation tool-Xtra product for Director MX(r) and Director MX 2004 from Macromedia, Inc. (Nasdaq: MACR). IMS CharacterGenerator StudioTM MX is available in two new versions, "MX Pro" for professionals, and "MX Lite" for hobbyist or the inexperienced professional. This IMS product is created for multimedia developers that want to incorporate talking animated characters into eLearning titles, Web site graphics, CD-ROM/DVDs, and other applications and presentations that can be created using Director MX or MX 2004.    A number of new features and improvements have been included in the new IMS CharacterGenerator StudioTM MX product. Several of the new features in the product are:  

• New User Interface Design
• Unlimited character storage capacity
• New shadow maker
• Texture modifier (for modifying the face)
• Mouth Position Exaggeration control (Tweak lip synchronization)
• Picture in Picture for 3D scenes
• Up to five minutes of audio per voice file

IMS CharacterGenerator StudioTM MX allows users to animate talking characters within the Director MX and MX 2004 authoring environments in four steps, (i) selecting a 3D character, (ii) selecting a pre-recorded sound file, (iii) analyzing the sound file to create the animation, and (iv) publishing the animation directly to the active Director MX movie.  Users can create their own personalized characters from 2D digital photographs using IMS CharacterCreator StudioTM. Characters created using this application are exportable to IMS CharacterGenerator StudioTM MX.   Current IMS customers include Valve Software, Moshofsky/Plant, Alois Wild, and the BBC.
