SKOKIE, Ill. - ifbyphone, a voice infrastructure and application development company, released version 1.0 of the ifbyphone service. The voice-based ifbyphone service provides mobile Web-like access from your telephone by integrating voice recognition, text-to-speech, and VoiceXML technologies.

This service includes a range of information and entertainment capabilities, including VoPlace--the company's voice-based social network, voice enabled e-mail capabilities, single and multiple-player games, news, sports, weather, a blog reader, a RSS aggregator, public voice chat, and more. In addition to consumers calling ifbyphone, ifbyphone can push content such as reminder calls, wake-up calls, and e-mail notification to consumers via ifbyphone's outdial capabilities.
