Ivona Adds TTS Voices in Four New Languages

Ivona Software, an Amazon company, has added four new voices (Astrid - Swedish, Filiz - Turkish, Cristiano - European Portuguese, and Raveena - Indian English), to its portfolio of text-to-speech voices. This brings the number of TTS voices to 49, covering 22 languages.

Ivona Text-to-Speech (TTS) is available in different configurations and footprints for a variety of mobile devices, desktop, network and server applications or TTS cloud.

"As we experience rapid growth of new mobile and Web applications, developers need speech technologies to create premium voice-enabled user interfaces," said Lukasz Osowski, CEO of Ivona Software, in a statement. "With the release of four new voices, we introduce the benefits of natural text-to-speech to a growing number of customers worldwide."
