Mobile Technologies, developers of the Jibbigo speech-to-speech foreign language translation app, has launched an all-in-one speech translation tool for travelers.

Jibbigo Translator is a free translation app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, enabling unlimited online translations in more than 20 languages and dialects, plus the option to download offline translators for use when traveling overseas or when an Internet connection is not guaranteed. Users can also download regional bundles of offline translators for multi-country tours.

Supported languages include English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Thai, Italian, Portuguese, Danish, Bulgarian, Greek, Hebrew, Romanian, Catalan, Arabic, Pashto, Filipino/Tagalog, and Esperanto. Additional languages are currently in development.

Jibbigo's apps leverage advanced speech recognition and machine translation technology developed by Mobile Technologies, under the direction of founder Dr. Alex Waibel, who is a professor at Carnegie Mellon University in the U.S. and at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany, and is also the director of the International Center for Advanced Communications Technologies.
