LXE Mobile Computers Certified for Voxware's VoxBrowser

LXE, a manufacturer of rugged mobile computers for wireless data collection, received certification on its VX6, VX7, MX3X and MX7 computers to run Voxware's VoiceXML Browser, VoxBrowser. The VX6 and VX7 are voice-enabled, vehicle-mounted computers used in voice-driven logistics applications, and the MX3X and MX7 are dual-use, handheld computers. Voxware (NASDAQ: VOXW) has certified the VX6, VX7, MX3X and MX7 to run VoxBrowser software for demanding voice applications in logistics across the full range of warehouse environments.

"Leveraging the open, standards-based VoxBrowser will be a tremendous benefit to our customers and partners," said Jim Childress, president and general manager of LXE. "Our customers will no longer be locked into expensive, proprietary voice hardware.  They can now choose the device that best aligns with their applications.  LXE's broad voice-enabled product line, combined with industry leading global service and support infrastructure, provides customers maximum flexibility with no compromises."

Childress noted, "VoxBrowser makes it simple for our customers to run both their voice logistics applications and their traditional barcode scanning applications on the same computer.  This feature will reduce a customer's IT support and operator training costs and, more importantly, reduces the number of terminals needed to support their warehouse."
