Living Tree Adds Phone Alerts Function

LivingTree, a private social network for schools, has launched Phone Alerts, a new feature of its engagement platform. School and district administrators can now use LivingTree to share phone alerts with families.

With LivingTree's new phone alert capability, all communications can be delivered via the LivingTree platform. Voice messages are delivered to a parent's phone number of choice with opt-in and opt-out functionality in place, per FCC regulation. Phone alerts add voice capability to the texting, multimedia, private messaging, and two way conversation features LivingTree has delivered to schools around the globe.

School administrators can send phone alerts in the same way they share conversation posts in LivingTree. Based on parent preferences, phone alerts can be delivered as message posts, email notifications, mobile notifications, and/or phone calls. For phone calls, messages are automatically converted to voicemail messages if there is no answer. With voice translation to 26 languages and text translation to more than 100 languages, recipients receive the call or message in their preferred language.

"With the addition of phone alerts to the LivingTree platform, educators and families now have one single place for all of their communication and engagement," said LivingTree CEO Joni Carswell in a statement. "By eliminating the need for multiple systems, administrators can easily connect with families through a platform they know and trust, saving time and money while creating the most engaging user experience."
