Loquendo and Kirusa Partner to Deliver Multimodal Solutions

TURIN, Italy - Loquendo and Kirusa announced a strategic partnership leveraging Loquendo's multilingual speech technologies to deliver multimodal solutions to customers across the globe. 

Enabling wireless carriers, service providers, and enterprises to offer applications with integrated voice and visual interfaces, Kirusa's multimodal solutions allow mobile users to simultaneously or alternatively use voice, text, graphics, keypad, and stylus to interface with wireless services and applications. The solution integrates with technologies such as SMS, HTML, XHTML, VoiceXML, and HTTP, and supports mobile networks, including CDMA, CDMA 1x/3x, GSM, GPRS, UMTS, FLASH-OFDM®, WiFi, and others. Enabling multimodal end-user applications on a variety of handsets from manufacturers - carriers and enterprises offering this service are able to monetize voice and data applications. The solution leverages the smart and 3G devices, including those based on platforms such as J2ME, Microsoft's SmartPhone™, Symbian™, Qualcomm's BREW™, and Microsoft's PocketPC, while also working with devices already deployed in the networks.
