M*Modal Expands Agreement with Johns Hopkins Medicine

M*Modal announced that it is expanding its long-standing relationship with Johns Hopkins Medicine to deliver extensive new transcription services and implement M*Modal Natural Language Understanding technology across all of its health facilities.

The combination of these services and advanced technologies is intended to bring greater flexibility to accurately capture each patient's complete story while bringing new productivity improvements throughout the health system.

M*Modal currently provides transcription services for The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Under this new agreement, these services will have the ability to expand to other Johns Hopkins Medicine facilities. In addition, Johns Hopkins will implement M*Modal Fluency for Transcription at these locations to better manage transcription workloads, maximize its organizations' throughput, and maintain highly consistent standards for quality across all sources of each provider's captured narrative.

"Through the combination of technology, workflow, and manpower, M*Modal offers the providers at John Hopkins the ultimate freedom to choose their dictation formats, enhance documentation management, and deliver exceptional narrative accuracy and turnaround time, no matter where the physician or transcriptionist is located," said Vern Davenport, CEO of M*Modal, in a statement. "This expanded agreement provides the flexibility for front-end and back-end speech with tight integration with the health system's electronic health record systems for better document control and visibility across the enterprise, and ultimately better outcomes."
