M*Modal Inks Deal with 3M Health

M*Modal has entered into a software interface license agreement with 3M Health Information Systems. The agreement licenses the interfacing of M*Modal's computer assisted coding solution to the 3M Coding and Reimbursement System.

"We are pleased to announce this agreement with 3M," said Vern Davenport, chairman and CEO of M*Modal, in a statement. "M*Modal will be able to better support the healthcare community in its critical transition to ICD-10 (International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems)."

M*Modal's enterprise solutions, which include mobile voice capture devices, speech recognition, natural language understanding, Web-based workflow platforms, and a global network of medical editors, help healthcare organizations facilitate the adoption of electronic health records, improve patient care, increase physician satisfaction, and lower operational costs.
