Message Technologies Expands Sales and Marketing Team

Message Technologies expanded its sales and marketing team with the addition of three executives.

Message Technologies Inc. (MTI) expanded its sales and marketing team with the addition of three executives. Rory Couch joins MTI as the regional sales director, Khalid Qadir joins as the sales engineer and Erich Hermanns joins as the director of marketing.

As regional sales director, Couch is responsible for driving sales in the speech automation hosting and application development sector. He brings more than 22 years of telecommunications experience in both sales and management. Prior to joining MTI, Couch served as manager of national account sales for Nortel Networks, specializing in interactive voice response (IVR) and speech recognition sales to regional Bell operating companies, competitive local exchange carriers and select Fortune 500 organizations.

Qadir joins MTI as a sales engineer and is responsible for technically supporting the sales team in both pre- and post-sales engagements. He has over eight years of experience in the customer relationship management industry, specializing in speech automation, IVR systems and computer telephony integration. Prior to joining MTI, Qadir supported the sales, development and professional services group at Informiam, LLC, where he was a subject matter expert in contact center technologies. Qadir worked in speech technologies as a technical account manager and support engineer with SpeechWorks International, (since acquired by Nuance Communications, Inc. Nasdaq: NUAN) where he helped clients identify and resolve issues they encountered in the deployment of speech applications and integration of speech products into their platforms.

As the director of marketing, Hermanns is responsible for developing and implementing the corporate marketing strategy. He brings more than 12 years of experience to the role, including work experiences in the telecommunications, technology, non-profit and sports entertainment sectors. Most recently, as senior manager of marketing communications with BellSouth Corporation, Hermanns developed and executed yearly, targeted marketing and advertising plans focused on customer acquisition, retention and win-back.
