RISHON LE-ZION, ISREAL - TalkerNet and NSC has announced a partnership. TalkerNet develops speech gateway technology based on NSC's speech recognition engine. TalkerNet's speech gateway, TotalVoice, enables the development of speech driven information lines, voice portals, voice commerce applications and messaging solutions without the need of engineering. NSC's speech recognition engine running on a PCI board, enables application developers to develop speech-driven applications. Each board can run up to 120 concurrent speech recognition channels, depending on the speech recognition task complexity. Voice portals based on the products of TalkerNet and NSC have been activated recently in the UK with Independent Digital, the digital arm of Independent News & Media Group. A user can receive live information on world cup games right from Independent Digital web site, using a mobile phone and speech interface. "We have chosen NSC for it's high-density and cost-effective price per speech recognition channel. NSC's product enables us to offer a complete solution within one box mainly due to the fact that NSC's product does not require Pentium resources.", said Ronen Dvashi, CEO of TalkerNet Group. "NSC's easy to install and integrate together with the support we received shorten our time to market." "NSC is very pleased to be working with TalkerNet and support its deployments." said Dr. Ami Moyal, CEO of NSC. "We believe that NSC's DSP-based speech recognition solution fits mass market voice activated services. Together with TalkerNet's gateway technology, carriers, content provider and organizations now can easily deploy and maintain speech driven services without the need of engineering or special expertise, which results in a cost effective solution and short time to market.
