Nabaztag Rabbiting on with Acapela

MONS, Belgium and TOULOUSE, France - Violet chose Acapela Group to voice-enable Nabaztag, the first of a series of communicating objects. Thanks to its voice synthesis, this 23cm tall rabbit is able to communicate information by transmitting messages through its Wi-Fi Internet connection, by moving its ears, using flashing lights or speaking using Acapela's speech technology. Acapela's voice reads a message received by email, SMS or via the Web and transmits information which has been selected by the user beforehand from the site http://www.nabaztag.com/vl/FR/index.jsp such as: the weather forecast, the time, air quality, traffic conditions, the latest stock market update and it can even be used as an alarm clock to wake children up in the morning.

"The quality of the speech synthesis is obviously a great success with the people who buy Nabaztag. The intensive use of the service via the Nabaztag website shows the practical interests of text to speech," says Olivier Mével, from Violet.
