NeoSpeech Selected by HomeSeer

FREMONT, CA - NeoSpeech announced HomeSeer Technologies has selected NeoSpeech's VoiceText™ for its PC-based home automation system. HomeSeer Technology's HomeSeer software is designed to let homeowners control their lights, appliances and audio/video equipment from any Web browser or telephone. By incorporating NeoSpeech's VoiceText into its software, HomeSeer intends to enable the home to "talk to" its occupants, notifying them of callers, motion and even weather alerts. "Many of our customers have speakers throughout their homes, and they look to a central voice to keep them informed of changes in and around their household," said Richard Helmke, president of HomeSeer. "NeoSpeech provides us with text-to-speech (TTS) so life-like that it feels like a concerned friend, rather than a computer, is safeguarding your home. Our customers are very pleased with the quality and realism of the voices provided by NeoSpeech." HomeSeer voices are available in bundled packages that include both 8khz and 16khz frequencies for the desktop and the telephone. The base package consists of the U.S. English voices Kate and Paul on CD. "HomeSeer knows that homeowners want to be informed, but they want it to happen in an unobtrusive manner," said Yoon Kim, CEO of NeoSpeech. "HomeSeer's technology enables a homeowner to choose when and how to use speech as an interface, as well as what type of voice is most pleasing to them. This product does a great job of putting the user in control and giving him all of the tools needed for the best possible home automation experience."
