Nuance Dragon Dictation and Search Apps Now Available in Vietnam
Nuance has announced that its Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search applications for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad are available in the Vietnam App Store.
Supporting the Vietnamese language across regional variations in pronunciation, the launch offers Vietnamese consumers a convenient way to dictate SMS text messages, emails, social media updates, mobile Web searches, and more, up to five times faster than typing.
"Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search have already demonstrated incredible success across Asia, and we are thrilled to expand the availability even further with the debut in Vietnam," said Michael Thompson, executive vice president and general manager, Nuance Mobile, in a statement. "The rapid worldwide adoption of the Dragon apps demonstrates the strong consumer demand for voice-enabled mobile interfaces on a variety of iOS devices."
Dragon Dictation is iOS-5 compatible and features a pop-up toolbar with app icons that enable users to access email, SMS, Facebook or Twitter status bars, or the clipboard. Dragon Dictation also includes an auto save function that retains dictated text when the user is interrupted by an incoming phone call.
Dragon Search allows users to speak any search query to find information and knowledge on the mobile Web. Dragon Search features Nuance's Dragon Search Carousel, which delivers search results within seconds across multiple channels simultaneously, including Google, Yahoo!, Twitter, iTunes, Wikipedia, and YouTube.
Dragon app users are able to switch between supported languages as they become available. Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search are now available for free from the Apple App Store in Vietnam.
Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search are also available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, UAE, U.K., and U.S. App Stores. In addition to Vietnamese, the Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search support U.S, U.K. and Australian English, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Taiwan Mandarin, Cantonese, Czech, Korean, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, Hungarian, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, European and Canadian French, German, Greek, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, European and Brazilian Portuguese, Turkish, Romanian, Russian, European and American Spanish, Slovak, Swedish, and standard Arabic.
