Nuance Powers Car App on the New HTC One

Nuance is offering its intuitive voice capabilities for the HTC Car application on the new HTC One smartphone.

HTC Car integrates Nuance's voice recognition capabilities, available in 20 languages, and gives users direct access to people, local business information, navigation, music on the device, streaming content from TuneIn, and more.

The solution's hands-free text messaging lets people hear incoming text messages read aloud and respond without having to manually or visually engage the device.

"Mobile devices are an extension of ourselves, so it's imperative that they deliver the information and content we demand when we want it," Michael Thompson, executive vice president and general manager of Nuance Mobile, said in a statement. "HTC Car's voice capabilities eliminate the barriers to a more intelligent and intuitive mobile experience that's possible anywhere, any time."
