Nuance's NDEV Mobile Developer Program Expands Across Middle East, Europe, and Asia
Nuance has announced that its NDEV Mobile developer program now supports 11 new languages for voice recognition across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.
NDEV Mobile brings Nuance's Dragon speech platform to mobile developers worldwide via the Dragon Mobile SDK, offering broad language coverage and high-quality support for top mobile app developers supporting the iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 7 platforms.

"Nuance's Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search apps have already experienced incredible success across emerging regions, demonstrating clear demand from consumers all over the world for the powerful voice capabilities, and now we're enabling the rich mobile ecosystem of developers globally to deliver that same experience."
Featuring three service tiers, Silver, Gold, and Emerald, NDEV Mobile gives developers flexibility in how they leverage Dragon into their applications, delivering choice in capabilities, platforms, customization, and support. Top brands in lifestyle, food, retail, finance, gaming, message dictation, social, and Web browsing applications have also leveraged the power of Dragon, including Kraft iFood Assistant, Price Check by Amazon, E*TRADE, and OnStar RemoteLink.
NDEV Mobile now supports 34 speech-to-text languages: U.S., UK and Australian English, Arabic, Cantonese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, European and Canadian French, European and Brazilian Portuguese, European and American Spanish, Finnish, German, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Mandarin, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish Mexican, Swedish, Taiwanese Mandarin, Turkish, and Vietnamese. In addition, the languages that now support text-to-speech are U.S., UK and Australian English, Arabic, Bahasa Indonesian, Basque, Belgian Dutch, European and Brazilian Portuguese, Cantonese, Catalan, Czech, Danish, Dutch, European and Canadian French, Finnish, German, Greek, Hindi, Hungarian, Indian English, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Scottish English, Slovak, South African English, Spanish Castilian, Spanish Mexican, Swedish, Taiwanese Mandarin, Thai, and Turkish.
The Dragon Mobile SDK is available for iOS 4.0 and 5.0 (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch), Android 2.1 and higher, Windows Phone 7.5, and via an HTTP Web services interface.
