Orange Deploys VoiceXML Services in Ivory Coast

RAMONVILLE, FRANCE - Idylic announces that Orange Ivory Coast has deployed VoiceXML service using Idylic's VoiceXML platform. It's been 100 days since Orange Ivory Coast launched its VoiceXML service. Orange's African subsidiary has reached an important milestone. This is the first time an African mobile operator offers to its subscribers a voice service based on the VoiceXML standard. " We wanted to make important changes in our 711 voice portal by acquiring a modern voice platform that would allow us to launch rapidly new thematic voice services with a reasonable cost", explains Valérie Tiacoh, Orange Ivory Coast Marketing Manager. In order to achieve this, Orange combined the efforts of Idylic and Dioranews: - Idylic delivered its turn-key PHONIC TELECOM VoiceXML Gateway on Orange's SS7 network - Dioranews created and installed 711 and 712 services in VoiceXML, and updates daily the service contents from France " The complete solution was in production in less than three months. The platform now handles 15000 calls a day. The training provided by Idylic gives us a great autonomy in the administration and maintenance of the system", outlines Baley Ouattara, Orange Ivory Coast Project Manager. This confirms Idylic's new policy : "This new project comforts our position on the Telecom market. Our partnership with Dioranews is the direct application of our vision of complementarity between Idylic and value-added service providers. Our partners provide original and innovative services to telecom operators. By developing these applications using VoiceXML, they benefit from enhanced homogeneity and portability.", explains Cédric Buzay, Idylic's CEO. Idylic, as a European VoiceXML Gateway editor, will focus on winning 4 to 5 new telecom contracts in 2003.
