PhoneTag Voicemail-to-Text Certified as HIPAA Compliant

Ditech Networks, a provider of advanced voice processing solutions, today announced compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for its PhoneTag voicemail-to-text services.

Ditech can now offer HIPAA compliant PhoneTag services for those companies requiring this level of compliance for their own products and applications.

PhoneTag is offered at three service levels of increasing accuracy: fully automated, auto/human hybrid, and fully human service.

HIPAA provides national minimum standards to protect an individual's health information. HIPAA was originally created to streamline healthcare processes and reduce costs, while ensuring individual consumer privacy. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) maintains, manages, and enforces these standards.

"HIPAA compliance marks a major milestone we've reached with our PhoneTag offering," said Ken Naumann, CEO of Ditech Networks, in a statement. "This milestone opens up options for healthcare related industries to leverage the tremendous value and productivity enhancement that PhoneTag voice-to-text services can provide."
