Real Estate Development Firm Turns to Web-Based my1voice

Midd Cities, a Canadian real estate developer, has done away with its traditional telephone system and now relies on my1voice Web-based virtual phone service to run a robust phone system, achieve significant telecommunication savings, and ultimately improve business communications.

After noticing a breach in communications between offices and mobile workers, Midd Cities and its 10 full-time employees researched options and decided to use the virtual PBX phone service my1voice to act as an overlay onto its existing phone line.

The service provides an auto-attendant with a professionally recorded greeting service, multiple extensions, voicemail, Find Me/Follow Me call forwarding, a toll-free phone number, voicemails forwarded to email capabilities, and other communication tools without the need of adding new equipment or modifying existing phones.

“Our phone equipment and the entire system were too complicated and expensive for what we needed given the current economy,” said Howard Jackson, managing member at Midd Cities. “It didn’t make sense that we had to call in and wait for a telecommunications specialist to move a phone. We also didn’t like the restriction of having to purchase new phones from the one vendor every time we added someone or perhaps had a problem with an older phone.”
