Rehor Joins Vocalocity as Chief Architect

ATLANTA, GA - Vocalocity announced VoiceXML industry veteran Ken Rehor has joined the company as chief architect. Rehor's responsibilities will span product architecture, technical services and industry standards. Rehor will launch the company's Technical Services Group to support Vocalocity's OEM and channel partners in extending the Vocalocity platform. "We designed Vocalocity software to be easily extended and customized," said Jeff Haynie, Vocalocity's chief technical officer. "Our partners will benefit from Ken's extensive experience and industry leadership in telecommunications, speech technologies, and open standards as we continue to advance our product architecture to meet the unique requirements of OEM and Channel Partners." A long-time evangelist of voice technology, Rehor was a principal founder of the VoiceXML Forum. He currently serves as chair of the VoiceXML Forum's Conformance Committee, and is co-editor of the VoiceXML 2.0 standard. Previously Rehor was a member of the Bell Labs Research team at Lucent where he co-developed the first web-based telephony platform, PhoneWeb. He holds seven U.S. and International patents in telecommunications and speech technologies.
