Rhetorical Opens Boston Office and Names New Sales Manager

BOSTON, MA - Rhetorical, a developer of text-to-speech solutions (TTS), announced that it has opened an office in Boston, MA. The expansion comes on the heels of increasing sales by Rhetorical's U.S. arm, Rhetorical Inc., and adds to its existing U.S. offices in Florida and Texas. The company has hired John Ferguson, formerly of EMC, to head up the new location. "Opening an office in one of the most major technology centers in the U.S. will enable us to better service our American clients, as well as expand our presence in one of our most critical markets," said Rhetorical's CEO Marc Moens. "We've recently signed our largest North American deal to date with Adacel Inc., and will be announcing other strategic U.S. deals in the coming months. This is just the beginning of our growth in the U.S." John Ferguson, the new Inside Sales Manager and head of Rhetorical's Boston office, brings both experience and expertise to the position. Ferguson has more than 10 years of experience in the industry as well as close ties to the Boston area. For the past six months, he has served as a SME Sales Associate with EMC Corporation in Hopkinton, MA, where he completed an extensive five-week EMC Sales Training class on SAN and NAS solutions. For the two years prior to joining EMC, Ferguson worked as a Software Sales Specialist in North Reading, MA, where he developed and executed a territory business plan for managing a five-million dollar revenue stream from software subscription renewals and account contract maintenance in major enterprise accounts. Before moving to Massachusetts, Ferguson worked for six years as a Regional Sales Manager for Henke Manufacturing Corporation in Leavenworth, KS. During his time there he increased territory gross sales by 300% and consistently maintained the highest gross margins on sales within the company. Ferguson looks to provide both leadership and strategic insight to the new Rhetorical office in Boston. "I am thrilled to be part of the Rhetorical team, and look forward to bringing my experience in the Boston technology market to the company," said Ferguson. "Rhetorical has already established itself as a player in the TTS market in the United States; having a center of operations in Boston will enable us to build on this momentum."
