SVOX and Code Factory announce partnership

ZÜRICH, SWITZERLAND - SVOX AG and Code Factory announced that they have teamed up in order to co-develop and co-market speech solutions for the use in next generation mobile communication devices. SVOX and Code Factory will develop two joint solutions: Mobile Accessibility and Mobile Professional. Both products are specially designed to meet the needs of the business users and to offer automobile drivers as well as the visually impaired greater mobile accessibility and communication flexibility. As both products have been developed to support the entire spectrum of operating systems such as Symbian OS, Smartphone and PocketPC they can run on a whole range of next generation mobile communication devices. Mobile Accessibility was specially designed for the mobile business user as well as for the visually impaired. Business and private users can organize their electronic calendars and address books as well as to send and receive e-mails, SMS and MMS messages via speech. The naturally sounding speech of Mobile Accessibility reads all information and messages appearing on the display of the mobile phone, including error messages, incoming notes or menu dialogues. Mobile Accessibility is full of keyboard shortcuts, which make the menu navigation even more easy to handle. Mobile Professional is a text-to-speech solution which provides maximum mobility and flexibility to business users and automobile drivers. The idea behind this product is that the mobile phones can be used in order to check e-mails and gain access to personal information, while the text-to-speech software of SVOX reads all retrieved data. Additionally, all incoming e-mails can be received from Outlook directly on the mobile phone and converted into naturally sounding multi-lingual speech.
