Suffolk County Courts Employ Mass Notification System

New York's Suffolk County Court Employees Association has selected the Desktop Alert Enterprise Level Notification Platform to provide automated alerts, union notifications, and business information to its 1,000 members as email messages, text messages to cell phones, or voice messages to cell phones and land lines in 30 seconds or less.

Desktop Alert offers alerting integration with social media, such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and MySpace. Desktop Alert offers a device-independent architecture for integration to current and future alerting devices and platforms. The Desktop Alert Mass Notification Platform also provides integration to Skype, AOL, MSN, Yahoo!, Jabber, and ICQ instant messenger applications

"We were looking for a system that would allow us to use voicemail, text messages, and email as a means to get the most accurate union information to our members in the most efficient way possible," said association president Chris Manning. "This system allows us to get the word out directly from our union office, so they know it’s gospel. This will be a great help to us for rumor control as well. The most important thing is to stop or prevent misinformation from getting out, and Desktop Alert gives us that capability."

Other organizations using Desktop Alert for their mass notification requirements include numerous U.S. military installations worldwide.

"We are very pleased and honored to be chosen to provide Desktop Alert’s mass notification services to the valued employees of the Suffolk County Court Employee Associate (SCCEA)," said Howard Ryan, CEO and founder of Desktop Alert.
