Telephonetics Recognized for Innovation at the National Business Awards

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD - Telephonetics has been honored with the coveted title of "Business Innovation of the Year" (South East Region) for the second year in succession at the National Business Awards.

In 2004, Telephonetics was awarded the title for the ContactPortal® - a speech driven virtual operator.

This year the judges recognized the contribution made to the UK cinema industry by Telephonetics' MovieLINE - an interactive speech enabled telephone film information and advance ticket booking service, now used by UK multiplex cinema exhibitors including Odeon/UCI, CINEWORLD and Showcase.

The National Business Awards are acknowledged by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Gordon Brown, as the UK Business Oscars and are also recognized as a showcase for displaying the best of British Businesses with entrants in 2004 representing over 32 percent of the UK's GDP.

To win, Telephonetics had to demonstrate a proven ability to create an environment to nurture and develop innovations and/or processes that substantially improve the commercial performance or prospects of the company and our customers.

Telephonetics has also been short listed for further honors as a finalist for nationwide (UK) "Business Innovation of the Year" award. The winner will be announced in November.
