Telesphere Introduces Hosted Call Recording

Telesphere, a nationwide business phone and Internet services provider, today announced a new hosted call recording service to its Telesphere Anywhere customers.

Hosted Call Recording gives Telesphere customers the ability to digitally record and store calls in a standard M3U/MP3 format.

“While many phone service providers offer the ability to record phone calls at their desk phone, Telesphere’s Hosted Call Recording gives customers the ability to record calls made to their business number but answered on a non-IP phone, including a cell phone or home phone not linked to the network,” said Sanjay Srinivasan, chief technology officer at Telesphere. “This is a unique capability in the industry.”

Additionally, the offering is unique in that recordings are achieved with no on-premise equipment. Recordings are stored to the network and accessible from anywhere using a Web browser. Moreover, customers can search for recordings in several ways, including using any incoming or outgoing number, a caller’s name, or the specific date and time of the call. While the service is hosted, customers have full administrative control of their service.

“Customer demand drove our decision to introduce this product, as many of our customers have an existing need for call recording capabilities,” said Clark Peterson, chief executive officer at Telesphere. “Companies with regulatory requirements, call centers, highly mobile staff or a simple need to have calls recorded can now use this service to help them operate more productively and efficiently.”
