TranscribeMe Launches Spanish Audio-to-Text Transcription

TranscribeMe, a provider of voice-to-text transcription services and technologies, has launched Spanish transcriptions through its Web portal.

According to CEO Alexei Dunayev, Spanish is the first of many new languages planned for 2013. Others include Russian, Portuguese, and Mandarin Chinese.

TranscribeMe offers word-for-word text conversion services with a hybrid approach to transcription that combines voice recognition software and a platform of crowd-sourced human transcribers. Customers include industry leaders in technology, market research, and events, such as Ipsos, VMware, Cisco, and GigaOm.

According to TranscribeMe's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Bethanie Maples Krogstad, the company's efficiency comes from its "ability to intelligently process, slice, and micro-task to achieve the last mile of accuracy for transcription of audio and video. No one else does this more efficiently."

TranscribeMe promises 98 percent accuracy, fast 48-hour turnaround, low prices, and supreme confidentiality. Users upload files to TranscribeMe's customer portal, where they can also access them later on.
