Vocollect Introduces Model SR-10 Headset

PITTSBURGH, PA - Vocollect introduced a new headset designed to be worn behind the head for those that need to wear a head covering. The Model SR-10 is designed to meet expanding world-wide customer demand from warehouse and distribution centers that require employees to wear hard hats at work. According to Vocollect the product has been field tested in a variety of work environments in Europe, Australia and North America, and have received high marks for wearability, performance and durability. "Our new headset design is a direct response to customer needs and feedback particularly from our European and Asia Pacific customers," said Greg Holland, Vocollect's hardware product manager. "We concentrated our development on comfort, performance and durability and the results of our live tests have been fantastic." The SR-10 is designed specifically for speech recognition in industrial and warehouse settings. It comes with an adjustable headband, giving the user a personalized fit. Model SR-10 connects to the Talkman® T2 wearable computer, a hardware system for voice-directed distribution applications. A similar headset (Model SR-11) connects to other devices with a universal connector jack. The new headsets come in both right and left-sided models and feature an ergonomically designed earpiece and a flexible boom microphone. Like other Talkman headsets, the SR-10 uses a noise-canceling microphone that addresses background noise rejection.
